SIMON DYSON shot 13 places up the leaderboard with a four-under-par round of 68 on day three of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
The York golfer followed up his opening two rounds of level-par 72s by carding five birdies and a bogey at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
After a birdie on the par five second hole, Dyson dropped a shot at the fifth, but back-to-back birdies at the seventh and eighth saw him out in 34 strokes.
He started the back nine with six pars and then picked up shots at the 16th and 18th to claim a share of 27th place on four-under-par, seven shots behind the leader.
